Olga Minevich Biog

Olga Minevich, Estonian trained fashion designer and dress maker joined the Roisin Cross Silks (RCS) team in mid 2009 as principal assistant to dress designer and couturiere, Ann Flavin.

In tandem Olga runs her own design studio which she established in 2009. At the Minevich Studio, Olga designs and makes a wide variety of occasion and day wear including wedding gowns, bridesmaid’s dresses, cocktail and evening dresses, sports and casual wear.

To date Olga has also made three collections; a ‘French Touch’ collection which includes chic, classic dresses and hats, a silk collection for business women for executive lunches and cocktail receptions and a ‘Young, Funky and Edgy’ collection.

Prior to the establishment of her own brand in Ireland, Olga was working as a freelance dress maker and contributing to Dublin based clothing alterations services.

In her home country, Estonia, Olga worked as a freelance dressmaker and tailor in Tallinn, specializing in clothing for both females and males which included four years spent at the international men’s business clothing brand, Baltman. She also added another string to her bow when she produced uniforms and flags for local pubs and restaurants in Tallinn.

Before entering the working world of dressmaking and tailoring, Olga trained for four years at the Tallinn Industrial Education Centre in Estonia where she studied sewing technology, sewing equipment, material science, design, drawing, pattern making, colour science, psychology of communication and computer skills.

Olga primary passion in life is fashion and the wonder of colour. She comes to RCS with an excellent understanding of the garment design and manufacturing process, from the garment conceptualization stage through the pattern-drafting stage to final garment assembly.
