"You might see in the first few pictures that I made a handbag, and a little reversible cape from the white silk brocade - I will take better pictures of these and send them on, as they were lined with my wedding dress fabric and looked great! I will also look through all the photos and try to find a good one of just me in the dress, in case you want to use it as evidence that yes, it's possible to take the Roisin Silks sewing class and wear your project at your own wedding! I cannot tell you how many compliments I got on the day, and how comfortable I felt in the dress. It really was magical and I have yourself & Maebh to thank for providing all the assistance along the way.
You'll be happy to hear that I also re-used my calico pattern to handstitch a shorter, green linen version of the dress while we were relaxing in Hawaii on our honeymoon! Some might say that it bodes well for my husband that his wife started their marriage by sewing...
