Judith O’Sullivan, who took over Roisín Cross Silks two years ago when the original owner retired, travels to India, China and Thailand every November on buying trips for dress, bridal and soft furnishing fabrics.
They are specially made for her, and arrive in Ireland a month later. In response to demand, she has decided to launch dressmaking classes, beginning on January 26th. There are three eight-week courses: dressmaking for beginners, advanced dressmaking, and the making of handstitched, lined and interlined silk curtains and cushions. The classes take place in the evenings and on Saturdays. |
