Marian Hora Biog

Marian Hora joined the Roisin Cross Silks (RCS) team in July 2010 as dress designer with specialist expertise in the design of stunning blouses and wraps.

Marian began her career as a dress designer over 20 years ago. While raising her family, Marian studied dress design, specialising in bridal & evening wear, ladies tailoring and children’s wear at the Grafton Academy, Dublin 2 and graduated with a first class honours diploma in 1991.

As founder of Hora Design, Marian has developed a substantial base of loyal customers and is renowned for her excellent attention to detail, quality finish & ability to tackle difficult tasks.
She has also worked with the prestigious ladies boutique ‘Chantelle’ for almost 20 years providing an incomparable alteration service on a range of exclusive brands including St. John, Louis Feraud, Basler, Escada, Laurel and many more.

Marian’s daughter Louise recently joined the business and is currently studying for the diploma in dress design at the Grafton Academy. Louise has a business background, with over three years of banking experience & a B.Sc in Business Management, DIT.

Louise has also completed a professional make-up artist qualification, which further enhanced her creative skills. Louise decided to focus on fashion however, and is showing great flair and ability for dress design. She has achieved top marks for her college work to date and is adamant to maintain her mother’s excellent reputation.

Marian & Louise are delighted to offer a dress design service at RCS and will savour the opportunity of working with these beautiful fabrics and the very accomplished owner, Judith O’Sullivan.
